Classes and Lectures are taught Live using a video conferencing platform such as Zoom. There is also an online virtual classroom where you can access recordings, handouts, participate and share assignments in the forum and submit projects. To access the online classroom and video conference link, login to your BG5BI account and click on Subscriptions. This is where you will find the online classroom for all courses and materials you have purchased.

When attending Live via a video conferencing platform (Live Zoom Room), communication is established between the instructor and the students by means of:

* Speaking: Instructors and students have the chance to speak one at a time, and everyone participating will listen in through their computer’s speaker (or phone). A microphone is needed to participate. Please use a headset and join in a quiet location for the best experience possible.

* Writing: Participants can send public instant chat messages that will be viewed by everyone, or a private instant message directly to the instructor that is not viewed by everyone.

When logged into the online classroom (Website Classroom), communication is established between the instructor and the students by means of:

* Writing: A class forum is available for each class where Students complete weekly assignments and can share and discuss topics weekly. There is also an area to submit a project if it is required for course completion

* Viewing: Watching slides, videos and notations/demonstrations that the instructor adds during class. Viewing handouts, recordings, and forum posts from other students after class.

BG5 Foundation is a two semester course. When registering for the BG5 Foundation Course students can purchase semester 1 and semester 2 individually or purchase them as a package.

Packages are a great way to bundle and save. Our packages include your complete report for $5, the self-study course the BG5 Approach to Emotional Intelligence, a 90 minute career design overview with your instructor, and semester 1 and 2 of Foundation. All of these items are included at a discounted price when purchased as a package.

The BG5 Foundation course is the required prerequisite for taking the BG5 Certification Course even if you have taken the Human Design Foundation Courses. If you have already taken the Human Design Foundation Courses you may qualify for the special Audit pricing. Contact to find out if you qualify. Audit Pricing is available for each semester or the entire package.

For our Foundation and Certification courses, each semester is 10 classes long and each class is 2 hours long. Some classes in Foundation Semester 2 are 2.5 hours long. In addition, there is approximately 1 hour of outside class work per class per week for class assignments and the semester project. The semester project time is approximately 1 hour for Foundation courses and 4 hours or more for Certification courses. Each semester of every course has a final project.

The time commitment for Special Programs and Self-Study courses varies from course to course.

We understand that life happens, people go on vacation, have a work meeting pop up, or maybe the time zone you are in doesn’t allow you to show up to class live. Students can miss one or more classes throughout the semester and make up the class by watching the recording. The recording will be uploaded to the website online classroom within 24 hours of the class being taught. Please be in communication with your instructor when you cannot attend live.

We offer purchases by semester or a package. Packages offer additional products at a discounted price. Both purchases by semester and a package can be paid in full or students have the option of paying with a payment plan.

If you have already taken the Human Design Living Your Design, Rave ABCs, and Rave Cartography you are still required to take the BG5 Foundation Course. BG5 uses a different language and a slightly different approach. The BG5 Foundation Course will give you a solid foundation in the BG5 language and deeply supports you in understanding the career and business application of this information to help you get the most out of the BG5 Consultant Certification Program. If you have taken all three of these Human Design courses, you qualify for the special audit price of $500 per semester on BG5 Foundation 1 and 2. Email the BG5 Business Institute Office at to learn more.

To register for this course you will first need to take BG5 Foundation and then take BG5 Certification.

To become a Certified BG5 Career and Business Consultant the entire time investment is about a year and a half. First, students will need to take BG5 Foundation, a two semester course. Once a student completes BG5 Foundation semester 2, they can take BG5 Certification, a three semester course.

After all requirements for the course are complete, including the semester projects and purchasing the BG5 License and MMI BG5 software, a student will become certified.

The BG5BI License and Software are required to complete your official certification. These items are not included in the pricing. The license gives you permission to use this copy-written material with your clients. After Semester 2 begins, and after you have submitted and have approval of your Semester 1 project, you can purchase the BG5BI License and Software.

The one-time License fee of $750.00 is due by the end of Semester 2. When the License fee has been paid, you will receive an acknowledgement letter that you can now purchase the BG5 MMI software. The desktop version of the software is a one-time fee of $599.00. The MMI online software version is $199/year. Both are purchased at Jovian Archive.

Once you purchase the BG5 License and software there are no refunds for the course.

The BG5 Career Design Overview and Full Analysis Toolkits are required to complete your official Certification and are not included in this pricing, unless you have purchased the package. The Overview Toolkit cost is $650 and the Full Analysis Toolkit cost is $1,500.

In order to become certified, earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and continue with the education program, you will need to complete all prerequisites, class assignments, attend or review all classes, sign the student and professional integrity agreement, and successfully complete the final project for each semester.

The BG5BI License gives you permission to use this copy-written material with your clients. After Semester 2 begins, you have signed the student and professional integrity agreement, and after you have submitted and have approval of your Semester 1 project, you can purchase the BG5BI License and Software.

Qualified students may purchase the BG5BI License on our website. The authorization letter will provide you with directions to purchase the MMI Software from Jovian Archive.

The desktop version of the software is a one-time fee of $599.00. The MMI online software version is $199/year. Both are purchased at Jovian Archive.

Our automatic emails are friendly reminders to our students to help guide them and support them through their education journey. If you receive an email that your project has not been received, don’t panic. We are here to help.

If you recently turned in your project, but you still received this email, you can email to see if they received your project.

If you have not turned in your project, but plan to turn it in soon that is okay. Every student automatically gets a 4 week extension to turn in their project and they do not need to communicate this with their instructor or institute administrator.

If you need more than an additional 4 weeks to complete your project, please contact your instructor. They will be happy to help you. The key here is communication. As long as you communicate with your instructor they should be able to accommodate you.

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) 1-2018 Standard shapes the criteria organizations use to develop and implement high quality continuing education and training programs. The ANSI/IACET Standard for Continuing Education and Training is a universal model for learning process excellence. It defines a proven model for developing effective and valuable continuing education and training (CE/T) programs by measuring a CE/T provider's training program from procedure to process to result. IACET accredits organizations, not individual courses, programs, or learning events. You will recognize IACET Accredited Providers when you see the official IACET logo on their websites. You can validate their accreditation by searching for them on the IACET website here:

CEUs stand for Continuing Education Units. Every BG5BI course can earn a student a certain number of CEUs depending on the length of the course and if the student successfully completes the course.

Once a student successfully completes a semester they can request an official transcript. CEUs may be helpful for students who are receiving grant or scholarship funding and need to show proof of enrollment and units, professionals who need continuing education to keep work qualifications or move up on a pay scale, or for individuals who want the education recognition for their work.

You can locate how many CEUs will be awarded after successful completion of a course on each course registration page.

Once you successfully complete all requirements for a semester or course, and your semester project is approved, you will receive an email from the BG5 Business Institute with instructions on how to request your transcript. You will email and in the subject line put “transcript request”. Your transcript will be emailed to you within 5 business days.

You may request a transcript at any time if you need one to show proof of enrollment. Please email and in the subject line put “transcript request”. Your transcript will be emailed to you within 5 business days.
